How we verify listings

The verification stamp on every listing means something specific. This page is the exact procedure.

The procedure

  1. Live fetch. The business's official website is fetched directly. If it doesn't respond, there is no listing.
  2. Facts from the business only. The listing summary is drawn from the business's own page title and description as published that day. We don't add claims the business doesn't make.
  3. No republished contact details. We link to the business's site instead of copying addresses and phone numbers, so there's nothing here to go stale silently.
  4. Category discipline. A workshop is only listed as an authorised dealer if its own site presents it as one; independent and authorised are never blurred. For franchise specifics we tell readers to confirm with Harley-Davidson's own locator.
  5. Date the stamp. Every listing carries the date it was last verified. When a business changes, the stamp changes.

Businesses we excluded (and why)

  • MD Racing — Site now presents as Ducati specialists (stale SERP claim of Harley servicing) - excluded 2026-10-14
  • Maulden Motorcycle — Connection failed twice at verification time - unverified, excluded 2026-10-14
  • Thunderbike (thunderbike.com) — German Harley-Davidson dealer (German-language site); stale SERP title suggested Edinburgh - excluded 2026-10-14
  • KH Motorcycles — Homepage now presents as Lexmoto dealer; no Harley-Davidson claim on the day - excluded 2026-10-14
  • CMC Motorcycles — Homepage presents as Honda & Yamaha dealer; no Harley-Davidson claim on the day - excluded 2026-10-14
  • Sykes H-D (sykeshd.com) — Bot-challenge (403) at verification time - could not verify, excluded 2026-10-14
  • West Coast Harley-Davidson — Bot-challenge (403) at verification time - could not verify, excluded 2026-10-14

Excluded doesn't mean bad — it means we couldn't verify it on the day. Businesses can be re-checked any time.

Getting listed or corrected

If you run a UK workshop, parts supplier, custom builder or hire firm working on V-twin machines, or you've spotted an error in a listing, email hello@vtwinspecialists.co.uk. Verification is free and always will be — the only paid position is the clearly-labelled founding-season featured slot described on the dealers page.
